John E. Lee has a diverse work experience in the field of international affairs and security cooperation. John E. started their career as a Foreign Military Sales Programs Manager at the Office of Defense Cooperation, where they supervised important security cooperation programs between the U.S. and Malaysia. John E. then moved on to the U.S. Navy, where they served as an International Plans and Policy Desk Officer for the U.S. Pacific Fleet, managing the China/Taiwan desk and coordinating security cooperation programs.
Following their time in the Navy, John worked at the Indonesian Navy Command and Staff College as a student representative for the U.S. in a 14-month graduate-level program. John E. then transitioned to the Bureau of South & Central Asian Affairs at the U.S. Department of State, where they served as a Military Advisor, providing strategic policy guidance and expertise on security cooperation programs in a critical region.
John later joined SAIC as a Project Manager/Legal Analyst, where they managed a team and provided analytical support to the Department of Defense Office of General Counsel for International Affairs. John E. also worked at ManTech International Corporation as an International Programs Coordinator for the US BICES-X Program Office, supporting international affairs and security cooperation programs.
Prior to their current role, John worked at Fulcrum Co. as a Strategic Planner - International Coordinator, and at Solutions Through Innovative Technologies, Inc. (dba STI Technologies, Inc.) as an Analyst. John E. is currently employed as a Senior Plans and Policy Analyst at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc.
Throughout their career, John has demonstrated expertise in international affairs, security cooperation, and subject matter knowledge in areas such as foreign military sales, building partner capacity, and intelligence and information sharing programs.
John E. Lee received their Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Political Science from Boston College, completing their studies from 1984 to 1988. John E. then pursued further education at Suffolk University Law School, where they obtained their Juris Doctor degree in Law between 1995 and 1997. Later, from 2007 to 2008, John attended the U.S. Naval War College, achieving a Master of Arts degree in International Relations and National Security Studies.
