Nils Anderson has extensive work experience in the defense industry, with a focus on requirements management and project leadership. Nils worked as a Senior System Engineer at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc since 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Navy, Joint, & Urgent Requirements Branch Head (OPNAV N803) at the Navy Department of Defense from 2014 to 2016, where they were responsible for managing the Navy's JCIDS, JROC/JCB processes and products. From 2008 to 2013, Nils held the role of R3B and POM Strategy Branch Head (N802) at the U.S. Navy, OPNAV. At the Dept of Navy, Pentagon, they were the Dep Branch Head, Joint Rqmts & Acqusitions from 2005 to 2008, where they managed the Navy JCIDS process and provided support to the JROC and JCB. Nils also served in various roles at Naval Air Systems Command, including Dep PM and Project Lead from 1996 to 2005. Additionally, Nils was an IPT Lead for Payloads and UCAV/UCAS-N at PMA-263, where they led development teams for payload and unmanned aircraft systems. Nils began their career at NAVAIR as part of the CNI Team.
Nils Anderson's education history includes obtaining a PMT-302 degree from the Defense Acquisition University in 2001, where they pursued the Advanced Program Manager Course. Prior to that, they attended Drexel University from 1994 to 1995 for Engineering Management, without obtaining a degree. In 1991 to 1992, they studied Electrical Engineering at Penn State Great Valley. Nils obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University from 1979 to 1983. Before their university education, Nils attended New Providence High School from 1975 to 1979.
Apart from their educational degrees, Nils holds additional certifications. In 2001, they obtained the DAWIA Level III PM and Sys Engr certification from DACM/DAWIA. In 1997, they received the Acquisition Professional Community certification from OSD.
