Alessandro Simi

Alessandro Simi has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and technology. Alessandro started their career at Reply in 2008 as a Software Engineer, where they worked on projects related to Oracle Billing System of Vodafone and Order Management of Fastweb. Alessandro then joined Ocado in 2011 as a Senior Software Engineer, where they worked until 2016. At Ocado, they gained valuable experience in software engineering. In 2016, they joined eBay as a Senior Software Engineer for a brief period of time. Later in the same year, they joined Space Ape Games as a Technical Director, where they built a talented team and developed a scalable technology stack for millions of daily active players worldwide. In 2022, they were promoted to the role of Chief Technology Officer at Space Ape Games, where they continue to contribute to the company's growth and success.

Alessandro Simi pursued their education at Università di Pisa from 2001 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they also hold several certifications in the field. In June 2014, Alessandro completed the "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" course from Coursera. Alessandro further enhanced their knowledge by obtaining the certification for "Principles of Reactive Programming" from Coursera in December 2013. Alessandro expanded their skill set by completing the "Introduction to Big Data with Apache Spark" course from edX in July 2015. Finally, they obtained the "Functional Program Design in Scala" certification from Coursera in May 2016.
