Simon Hade is the co-founder and COO of Space Ape Games, an award-winning mobile game studio based in Central London. Simon has over 10 years of experience in the gaming industry, having held various positions such as product director, product manager, investor, and consultant.
Space Ape Games was founded in 2012 with the mission to make the world's next great game. The studio has since released five games that have been played by over 150 million people and generated over $325 million in revenue. In 2017, Space Ape Games partnered with Supercell (makers of Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, and Hay Day) by way of majority acquisition.
In addition to Beatstar, Space Ape's latest music game that reached #1 on the App Store in 24 countries, the studio is also soft-launching Boom Beach Frontlines, a new 9v9 team shooter based on the classic Supercell IP.
Space Ape Games has won numerous awards, including Best Game Developer and Beatstar Game of the Year in the 2022 Pocket Gamer Mobile Game Awards in BAFTA London (April 2022).
Simon Hade has a BSc and LLB(Hons) from The University of Queensland in Information Technology and Law respectively. Simon also has Agile - Certified Scrum Product Owner certification.
