Tarek Waked

Tarek Waked is a founding partner at Type One Ventures, where they support exceptional teams and founders who are disrupting the status quo. Inspired by Nikolai Kardashev's Kardashev scale, Type One Ventures aims to empower entrepreneurs who provide technology, infrastructure, and services that contribute to mankind's growth and advancement. Additionally, Tarek serves as a lead investor and board member at Space Forge Ltd, a company that is revolutionizing space exploration and returning to Earth with new materials. Tarek is also a founding investor and board member at Gravitics Inc, which focuses on big space stations and artificial gravity. Tarek has invested in other space-related ventures, including SpaceX, Argo Space, RADIAN AEROSPACE INC., Orbit Fab, BRELYON, and RoboTire. Tarek was also an investor in Made In Space, Inc., which was later acquired by Redwire. Tarek's work experience spans multiple years, with their involvement in these companies beginning in different years ranging from 2019 to 2022.

Tarek Waked holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Affairs with an emphasis on Economics from Florida State University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications such as Life and Health Agent from the California Department of Insurance in November 2013, Series 66 Investment Advisor Representative from NASAA in October 2013, and Series 7 General Securities Representative from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority in September 2013.
