Jeff Foust

Jeff Foust is a seasoned space industry professional with extensive experience in journalism, publishing, and analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Writer for SpaceNews since September 2014, Foust focuses on civil and commercial space topics, particularly space policy and entrepreneurship. Additionally, since February 2003, Foust has been the Publisher and Editor of The Space Review, where commentary on various space issues is presented. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Analyst at Futron Corp. from December 2001 to June 2014, where Foust analyzed trends in the space industry, and earlier positions as Principal Engineer at Coola, Inc. and Webmaster for MIT Technology Review. Foust holds a PhD in Planetary Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Geophysics from Caltech.
