Christopher Whitmore is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in launch engineering and manufacturing within prominent organizations. Currently serving as the Manager of F9 & Payloads Launch Engineering at SpaceX, Christopher oversees F9 recovery operations, vehicle refurbishment, and payload integration, leading a team that achieved a significant increase in launch rates. Previously, Christopher held various roles at Rolls-Royce, including Lead Manufacturing Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed strategic planning and process design for production scalability. With a strong foundation in materials engineering, complemented by a Bachelor's degree from Iowa State University and further education at Boğaziçi University and Brunel University of London, Christopher has also contributed to research at NASA and Ames Laboratory, enhancing capabilities in materials and additive manufacturing techniques.
