Joseph H. Knaus

Joseph H. Knaus, PE, currently serves as the Manager of Test Support at SpaceX, where responsibilities include providing engineering oversight and technical guidance for rocket test stand design and preparing structural designs for fabrication. Knaus has extensive experience in civil and structural engineering, having previously worked on the AP1000 Project with Westinghouse, where design calculations for steel/concrete structures were prepared, and on the Extended Power Uprate for Florida Power & Light, addressing construction and design issues. Early career roles include positions at URENCO USA and Archon Engineering, where structural design and mechanical stress analysis services were provided for various clients. Knaus holds an MS in Structural Engineering and a BSCIE in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
