Sasha T. has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career as a Research Intern in Epidemiology at Queen's University in 2007. In 2008, they worked as a Summer Intern in Health Care Consulting at nD Insight.
Moving forward, Sasha joined RBC Capital Markets in 2009, initially working as a Sr. Analyst/Manager in Trading Credit and Market Risk - CVA and Counterparty Risk Trading (CRT). In this role, they managed CRT pricing, risk, P&L, and regulatory analytics & reporting for a global $7T derivative portfolio. They collaborated with cross-functional teams to build a proprietary deal pricing and reporting engine, and used VBA to measure and analyze counterparty credit risk factors. Sasha also built automated forecasting and pricing models using VBA and Excel.
At RBC Capital Markets, Sasha also served as a Manager in Trading Credit and Market Risk - Repos and Secured Lending. Here, they managed risk reporting and software migration for a $400Tr secured lending portfolio. Sasha designed models and reporting tools for credit risk measurement, led cross-functional project planning, and researched market trends and regulatory issues. They used Python, SQL, and Bloomberg APIs for building the risk measurement system and Excel and VBA for revenue forecasts and scenario impacts.
In 2016, Sasha joined Insight as a Software Engineer (Fullstack). They performed full-stack development for enterprise clients using the Microsoft stack and Javascript. Their role involved interfacing with clients, project sizing, team collaboration, and product demonstrations. Sasha was recognized internally as a top performer.
After working at Insight, Sasha joined Ribbon in 2019. They started as a Software Engineer and later served as a Sr. Software Engineer/Tech Lead, Engineering Manager for Data Products and Financial Products, and Senior Engineering Manager/Staff IC. At Ribbon, they contributed to software development and leadership roles, specializing in data products and financial products.
Currently, Sasha is working at Spade as an Engineering Manager, starting in 2023.
Sasha T. has a diverse education history. They began their academic journey at the University of Toronto Schools from 1998 to 2004 but did not obtain a specific degree or field of study during this time. After completing their high school education, Sasha pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Honours degree at Queen's University from 2004 to 2008. Their field of study during this period focused on Life Sciences and Mathematics. Following this, Sasha attended McMaster University from 2008 to 2009, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Financial Mathematics.
Additionally, Sasha obtained a certification in Professional Scrum Master I from Scrum.org in September 2019.
