Andrew Kastning currently serves as a Regulatory Specialist at the US Army Corps of Engineers since March 2024 and as a World Cup Commentator for Cross Country Skiing with Spalk since December 2022. Prior experience includes a role as Habitat Biologist II at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game from April 2019 to March 2024, where responsibilities involved permitting construction projects for fish passage and serving as an Oil Spill Response Coordinator. Andrew also worked as a Fisheries Biologist at the University of Alaska Anchorage from August 2011 to May 2019, and held coaching positions at Montana State University and the University of Nevada Reno. Early career experiences include working as a Locations Assistant on several film projects from June 2006 to November 2007. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from the University of Vermont, earned from 2000 to 2004.
