Kim McKean

Kim McKean has a solid background in human resources, spanning over two decades. Kim currently holds the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Spang & Company since December 2020. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Human Resources at the same company from May 2018 to December 2020.

Before joining Spang & Company, McKean worked at Penn State University as a Regional Human Resources Strategic Partner from February 2015 to May 2018. In this role, they provided HR leadership at various campuses, overseeing recruitment, compensation, employee relations, and diversity initiatives. Kim also advised campus leadership on staffing and organizational plans and served as an advocate for employee issues.

McKean's previous experiences include serving as the Human Resources Manager at Penn State Electro-Optics Center from April 2011 to January 2015, and as the Human Resources Manager at Cygnus Manufacturing Company from January 2009 to April 2011.

Kim began their career at II-VI Incorporated as a Human Resources Generalist, where they worked from an unknown start date to 2008. McKean also worked as a Recruiter at Spang & Company from an unknown start date to 2003.

Throughout their career, McKean has consistently demonstrated their expertise in HR management, strategic planning, recruitment, and employee relations.

Kim McKean obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, where they studied from 1992 to 1996. Following this, they pursued a Masters degree in Human Resources Management at La Roche University from 1996 to 1998.
