José Ignacio Fernández Vera

José Ignacio Fernández Vera has extensive experience in leadership and management roles within prominent research and scientific institutions in Spain. Currently serving as General Manager Office Attached at CNIO - Spanish National Cancer Research Centre since October 2017, José Ignacio has previously held positions including CEO at Fundación Española para la Ciencia y la Tecnología (FECYT), Advisor for Parliamentary Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness, and various directorial roles at CNIO, where contributions included directing research support initiatives. José Ignacio also coordinated the science and technology area at the Spanish Embassy in London, fostering the Spanish scientific community in the UK.
