Manuel Valiente is a Principal Investigator in the Brain Metastasis Group at the CNIO since March 2015, leading research to explore the biology of brain metastasis with the aim of developing novel therapeutic strategies. Prior to this role, Manuel Valiente was a Postdoctoral researcher at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from February 2010 to December 2014, where research focused on the biology of brain metastasis under the supervision of Dr. Joan Massagué. The academic journey includes a PhD at the Instituto de Neurociencias from January 2005 to December 2009, investigating intracellular molecules related to neuronal precursor migration. Additionally, Manuel Valiente was a Visiting scientist at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute in 2007. Educational qualifications include a Veterinary Science degree focused on Animal Health and Medicine from the University of Zaragoza, completed in 2003.
