Peter Appelros

Peter Appelros is an experienced technology and leadership professional, currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Sparbanken Syd since November 2019, overseeing Products, Processes, and IT. Previously, Peter held the position of Director at PwC Sweden from March 2018 to November 2019, focusing on the CIO Agenda within the Technology group. In a prior role at Tryg Forsikring from 2009 to 2016, Peter served as Director for IT Governance, contributing to IT Strategy, Digitalization, and Enterprise Architecture. Peter also has experience as Head of Business at Vesta Skadeförsäkring from 2006 to 2009, where responsibilities included establishing a new insurance company in the Swedish market. Earlier in a robust career, Peter was a Senior Manager at Accenture from 1993 to 2006, leading various projects within the Financial Services Industry. Academically, Peter holds a Master of Science in Electronics Engineering from The Faculty of Engineering at Lund University and has additional qualifications in board membership and organizational leadership.
