Aina Øverås Skott

Aina Øverås Skott is a Senior Data Scientist at SpareBank 1 SMN since August 2022, previously serving as Head of Business Intelligence & Analytics at Sandnes Sparebank from April 2019 to July 2022. Prior experience includes an Information Specialist role at the University of Stavanger, focusing on bibliometric analysis and data visualization, as well as a Data Science Fellow position with Science to Data Science. Aina co-founded Nanoday, a popular science web community for Nanotechnology, and worked as a Materials and Welding Engineer at Subsea 7. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Nano Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Materials, Energy and Nanotechnology from the University of Oslo, along with a one-year business program at BI Norwegian Business School and an International Welding Engineer degree from the University of Agder. Familiarity with software tools such as Tableau and Gephi has also been developed.
