Jørgen Søgaard-Andersen has a diverse work experience spanning various positions in the financial industry. Jørgen started their career as a Senior Consultant at Andersen Consulting in 1994 and later joined Baron & Filtenborg Capital Management as a Co-founder and Managing Director in 1997. In 2007, they became the Chief Risk Officer and Director at ATP Alpha Fondsmæglerselskab A/S. Jørgen then joined Nordea in 2015, where they served as the Director, Head of Trading Market Risk, Strategic Risk Manager, and Group Market and Counterparty Credit Risk. In 2016, they moved to Sparinvest and held various roles, including Chief Investment Officer and Group CEO. Jørgen also served as the CEO of Sparinvest (part of Nykredit) and Deputy Head of Nykredit Wealth Management. In 2019, they took on the position of CEO of Sparinvest (part of Nykredit) and Deputy Head of Nykredit Wealth Management at Nykredit.
Jørgen Søgaard-Andersen has a strong education background in the field of Computer Science. Jørgen began their academic journey at Rødkilde Gymnasium from 1982 to 1985. Jørgen then pursued a Bachelor's degree at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, specializing in Computer Science, and completed it from 1985 to 1990. Continuing their educational pursuits, Jørgen went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Computer Science from DTU - Technical University of Denmark, which they accomplished between 1990 and 1994. Additionally, Jørgen furthered their knowledge and expertise as a Visiting Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, specializing in Computer Science in 1992-1993.
