Kevin Ausman

Kevin Ausman is a Senior Scientist at Spark Therapeutics, Inc., specializing in low-voltage electron microscopy analyses for adeno-associated virus-based gene therapy vector characterization. Previously, Kevin served as an Assistant Professor at Boise State University and Oklahoma State University, focusing on nanomaterials and their health and environmental impacts, securing significant research funding. As Executive Director of the Center for Biological and Environmental Nanotechnology at Rice University, Kevin oversaw a $17 million NSF-funded research center and became a key spokesperson on engineered nanomaterials. Kevin's early career included postdoctoral research at prominent institutions, culminating in a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and a B.A. in Chemistry from Rice University.
