M.D. Suhail Alam

Md Suhail Alam, Ph.D., currently serves as CNS Lead Scientist and Manager of Neuroscience Research at Spark Therapeutics, Inc., since July 2021. Prior experience includes a role as Research Assistant Professor at the Boler-Parseghian Center for Rare and Neglected Diseases, University of Notre Dame, where significant contributions were made in the development of assays for studying hippocampal function and introducing genome editing methods. Md Suhail Alam also held positions as Director of External Programs and Research Scientist at the University of Notre Dame, focusing on translational research for rare genetic disorders. Early career experiences include research at the Institute of Microbial Technology and the Center for Biotechnology. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from IMTech, a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Jamia Hamdard, and a Bachelor's degree in Zoology from AMU.
