Patrick Whelan

Patrick Whelan has a diverse work experience in the real estate industry. Patrick is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Sparrow Single-Family Rental Homes. Previously, they co-founded Imajn Homes and worked there as a Co-Founder from 2018 to 2020. Patrick was also the CEO of HavenBrook Homes from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they built a single-family rental platform as the CEO of Beazer Pre-Owned Rental Homes from 2012 to 2014. Patrick also served as the Managing Director at Land Advisors Capital from 2008 to 2012 and held the position of President/COO at The Lyle Anderson Company from 2004 to 2008. Further back in their career, they were the President Media Services at Move, Inc from 2000 to 2004, the COO at Archstone from 1997 to 2000, and a Senior Vice President at Security Capital Group from 1993 to 1997. Patrick started their career as an SVP at Trammell Crow Company from 1986 to 1992. At Security Capital Group, they played a significant role in growing their regional operation and co-heading acquisitions.

Patrick Whelan completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Finance/Economics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1975 to 1979. Following that, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Harvard Business School from 1984 to 1986.
