James Thornton

James Thornton is a seasoned Senior Project Engineer at Sparrows Group, where responsibilities include overseeing crane maintenance and inspections for major clients such as Premier Oil and Equinor. With a background in project engineering that spans from April 2018 to the present, James has also held roles at Alatas Crane Services Worldwide and previously at Sparrows Group as a focal point for significant offshore projects. James's career began with engineering internships at GE Oil & Gas and work experience at Seafield Hospital Buckie. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Mechanical and Offshore Engineering from Robert Gordon University, achieved in 2015, following education at Buckie Highschool.
