Felipe Elink Schuurman

Felipe Elink Schuurman has a strong background in commodities trading and leadership roles. Felipe is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Sparta Commodities, a position they have held since December 2019. Prior to this, Felipe worked at Gunvor Group Ltd, where they held multiple positions including Deputy Commercial Director, Senior Gasoline Trader, and Head of Biodiesel. Felipe was with Gunvor Group Ltd from September 2009 to April 2019. Previously, Felipe worked as a Biodiesel and Ethanol Trader at Vertical UK LLP from July 2006 to September 2009. Felipe started their career in the Eurograduate Program at BP in September 2002 and stayed there until July 2006. Before joining BP, Felipe worked as an Analyst in Mergers and Acquisitions at Goldman Sachs from January 2000 to August 2000.

Felipe Elink Schuurman obtained their Executive MBA from IMD in 2019-2020. Prior to that, they pursued a Master's Degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce from Universidad Pontificia Comillas, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. Felipe also pursued another Master's Degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce from NEOMA Business School, which they completed between 1998 and 2000.
