Giacomo Berardi

Giacomo Berardi has a range of work experience in the fields of machine learning, text analytics, and web retrieval. From 2015 to the present, they have worked as a Machine Learning Engineer & Backend Developer at SpazioDati srl, where they conducted research and development for their Text Analytics API and Sales Intelligence service. Prior to that, from 2011 to 2015, they worked as a Research Fellow at ISTI-CNR, focusing on text classification and web retrieval, with published work in top ACM conference proceedings and journals. In 2014, they also served as a Visiting Researcher at Yahoo Labs. In 2010, they worked as a Developer (Python, Scipy) at Erre Quadro S.r.l.

Giacomo Berardi has an extensive education history in the field of Information Engineering and Computer Science. Giacomo obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Università degli Studi di Perugia in 2007. Giacomo then pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Università di Pisa, which they completed in 2010. Subsequently, they enrolled in the same institution and earned a PhD in Information Engineering from 2011 to 2013.

In addition to their formal degrees, Giacomo Berardi also attended a number of summer schools and specialized programs related to their field. In 2011, they participated in the 8th European Summer School on Information Retrieval (ESSIR 2011), and in 2013, they attended both the Lipari School on Computational Social Science: Big Data and the 9th European Summer School in Information Retrieval (ESSIR 2013). Although these programs did not result in specific degrees, they demonstrate their commitment to continuous learning and professional development in their field of expertise.
