Derrick Badenhorst

Derrick Badenhorst is an experienced hospitality professional with a diverse background in restaurant management. Currently serving as District Manager at Specialty Restaurants since April 2018, Derrick oversees four properties with a combined revenue exceeding $39 million. Previous roles include General Manager positions at notable establishments such as Katana IDG in West Hollywood and a leading restaurant in LA, where Derrick managed large teams in high-volume settings. Derrick also co-owned and transformed restaurants into popular destinations, initiated a biscuit manufacturing operation, and played a key role in launching new products in the retail market. Derrick holds a diploma in Hotel Management and Catering from Wits Hotel School, completed in 1991.
