Gary Carter

Gary Carter has over 25 years of work experience in various technology and delivery roles. Gary has worked for companies such as Specsavers, Innovation Group, Kerry Group, CDC Software, and Lloyds Banking Group.

At Specsavers, Gary held several leadership positions, including Head of Technology Delivery - Group, Head of Delivery - Strategic Programmes, Head of Digital Capability & Development, and Head of Corporate Delivery (interim). In these roles, they were responsible for delivering technology change portfolios, leading business transformation programs, and establishing digital strategies and capabilities.

Prior to their time at Specsavers, Gary worked as a Software Development Manager and Development Programme Manager at Innovation Group, where they led the development and delivery of insurance products and created new web-based product suites.

Before that, they served as an Enterprise Systems Manager at Kerry Group, where they led the development and support of the company's ERP system.

Gary also worked at CDC Software as a Project Manager & Product Owner, responsible for the development of their flagship ERP product.

Gary'scareer began at Ross Systems, where they worked as a Technical Implementation Consultant, providing technical implementation and custom development expertise to clients, and at Lloyds Banking Group as a Systems Development Team Lead, responsible for developing and supporting business-critical systems.

Throughout their career, Gary has demonstrated expertise in technology delivery, business transformation, digital strategy, ERP systems, and software development.

Gary Carter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Information Systems from the University of Portsmouth. In addition, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Leading SAFe, Certified Lean Kanban Foundation, Arbinger Connected Leader Programme, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), and SEI Introduction to CMMI v1.2.
