Xinyi Zhang

Xinyi Zhang is a Deep Learning Data Scientist at Spectral MD since September 2022, specializing in deep learning medical image segmentation and multimodal classification for conditions such as burns and diabetic foot ulcers. Zhang has experience in developing machine learning prediction models utilizing Random Forest and XGBoost, as well as dimension reduction techniques like PCA and T-SNE. Earlier, Zhang worked as a Deep Learning Data Intern at Spectral MD, where a new pipeline for processing 3D image data was established, and assisted in data labeling to enhance image analysis models. Prior experience includes a summer internship at Johnson & Johnson, where research and presentations were conducted related to lab projects. Zhang holds a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from UT Southwestern Medical Center and a B.S. in Pharmacy from Tsinghua University.
