BIM Project Consultant - Mechanical Design at Spectrum Engineers

Richard Bartz has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Richard started their career in 1986 as a CAD Coordinator at Chicago Aerial Survey. In 1988, they worked as a Computer Aided Design Specialist at United Conveyor Corporation before joining The Austin Company in the same year. At The Austin Company, they held various roles, including CAD Supervisor, Project Coordinator, and Mechanical Design Assistant, where they were responsible for maintaining, implementing, and upgrading CAD systems. Richard also assisted in drafting services and coordinated with other engineering disciplines. In 2005, Richard joined Austin AECOM as a CAD Manager, Project Coordinator, and Mechanical Design Assistant. Richard also worked as a CAD Management Consultant at CAD Consulting from 2009 to 2010. Richard then joined Affiliated Engineers in 2010, where they served as a BIM Manager, Project Coordinator, and Mechanical Design Assistant until 2015. Richard continued their career at Mechanical Design Group in 2015 as a Project Coordinator until 2016. Currently, Richard is working at Spectrum Engineers as a BIM Project Consultant - Mechanical Design.

Richard Bartz attended the University of Illinois Chicago from 1981 to 1984, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering. In addition to their formal education, Richard has obtained several certifications related to BIM (Building Information Modeling) and Revit software.
