Heather Smith

Heather Smith, DBA, currently serves as the Director of People and Culture at the Speech and Language Development Center since June 2023. Prior to this role, Heather held the position of Human Resources Director at Autism Behavior Services, Inc. from December 2018 to June 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing multiple departments such as Human Resources, Payroll, and Recruiting, as well as assisting with government relations and new partnerships. Heather's earlier experience includes managerial roles at Motel 6 and CEC Entertainment, focusing on leadership, budget management, and operational standards. Heather holds a Doctor of Business Administration in Leadership from Capella University, a Master of Business Administration in Health Services Management from Keller Graduate School of Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Management with a specialization in health services management from DeVry University.
