Docent Program and Curriculum Resource Coordinator at Speed Art Museum

Julie Tallent is an experienced art educator and curriculum developer with a diverse background in teaching and academic leadership. Currently serving as the Docent Program and Curriculum Resource Coordinator and Project Manager for K-12 Curriculum Units at the Speed Art Museum since August 2021, Julie Tallent conducts research and writes curriculum units to enhance student learning. In addition, Julie Tallent holds the position of Assistant Chief Reader for AP Art History and Co-Chair of the AP Art History Exam Development Committee at The College Board since 2015. Previous roles include co-teaching Art History at Sotheby's Institute of Art, serving as an adjunct instructor at Ivy Tech Community College, and providing secondary education in art and humanities across various high schools. Julie Tallent's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT), a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Language and Literature, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting, all from the University of Louisville.
