Kenton Nelson

Kenton Nelson currently serves as Vice President of Events at Texas Motor Speedway and Director of Events at Speedway Motorsports, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Kenton spent 27 years at Texas Motor Speedway, where responsibilities included VP of Events & Operations and Assistant General Manager. Kenton's earlier career included roles as Director of Merchandising for the Dallas Mavericks and the San Antonio Spurs, along with serving as Regional Sales Manager for the NBA. Kenton holds a degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University, where studies were completed from 1985 to 1988.
