Angela O'Brien Obe

Angela O'Brien OBE has a wealth of experience in the education sector. Angela has served as the Director of Primary Education at The Spencer Academies Trust since 2016. In 2017, Angela became the Director of the Research School in Derby at Wyndham. Previously, they were the Executive Principal at Sunnyside and Portland Spencer Academies from 2014 to 2017. Angela also has experience in coaching, completing a PG Cert in Business and Personal Coaching at Barefoot Coaching Ltd in 2017. Prior to their leadership roles, Angela worked as a Teacher at Fairfield Primary School for 17 years. Angela has also held the positions of Principal at Wyndham Primary Academy and Headteacher at Boulton Primary School. Throughout their career, Angela has achieved outstanding results, including leading Wyndham Primary Academy to an Outstanding OFSTED rating and receiving accolades such as runner-up in the TES primary school of the year award in 2015.

Angela O'Brien OBE completed their education from 1983 to 1990 at Woodlands Community School in Derby. Angela then pursued a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Sports Science from Chester College from 1990 to 1994.
