Laura Lacey has worked as the Head of Geography and Sustainability Education Coordinator at Spencer Academies Trust since September 2021 and previously as the Head of Geography Department and Global Learning Coordinator from January 2018 to August 2021. Before that, they worked as an AQA Examiner at AQA starting in June 2017. From September 2015 to December 2017, Laura worked as a Teacher of Geography at Rushcliffe School. Laura also served as a Geography Research Assistant at the University of Leicester from August 2013 to July 2014. Prior to that, Laura worked as a Summer Intern at Statoil in July 2012 and as a Volcanology Field Assistant at the University of Leicester in June 2012. Their work experience also includes a role as an Assistant Geologist at the Solomon Islands Geological Survey from August 2011 to September 2011.
Laura Lacey pursued their education in a chronological manner, starting in 2009 and completing their academic journey in 2015. Laura first attended the University of Leicester from 2009 to 2013, where they earned a Master of Geology degree with a focus on Geology/Earth Science, General. Following this, from 2014 to 2015, they enrolled at the University of Hull, where they completed a PGCE School Direct program specializing in Secondary Geography.
