James Scull has over 20 years of work experience in various roles in the fields of software engineering, research and development, and biomedical engineering. James is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at Spencer Health Solutions, Inc. since November 2019. Prior to that, they were a Principal Engineer at XinRay Systems LLC from March 2017 to July 2019. From September 2008 to March 2017, James served as a Software Engineering Manager at G2 Technologies Inc. James also worked as an R&D Scientist at GSK from November 2005 to September 2008. Before that, they held positions at Duke University, where they worked as a Biomedical Research Engineer from February 2004 to October 2007, and as a BME Laboratory Administrator from January 2004 to October 2005. James began their career as an Electrical Engineer at Respironics from January 2000 to October 2003.
James Scull obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with Minors in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, where they attended from 1995 to 1999. James then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, graduating in 2007. In terms of additional certifications, James became a Certified Professional Instructor from the National Instruments in October 2013 and obtained the Certified LabVIEW Architect (CLA) certification from the same institution in April 2015.
