Brian Chanda

Brian Chanda has a strong background in data engineering and database management. Brian is currently working for SPENN Technology as part of their global IT team, focusing on making data-driven decisions to drive growth and efficiency. Prior to this, they worked at Access Bank Plc in the Enterprise Platforms & Database Management role.

Before joining Access Bank, Brian worked at Capricorn Group Limited as a Database Engineer. In this role, they managed, designed, developed, and administered various database servers, including Azure SQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, and MongoDB. Brian also performed database-related functions such as installation, configuration, backup and recovery, monitoring, and performance optimization. Brian Chanda completed their education from 2012 to 2014 at the Zambia Centre For Accountancy Studies, where they obtained a Diploma in Computing with a focus on Information Technology. Brian then pursued a Bsc(hons) degree in Computing and Information Systems from the University of Greenwich, graduating in 2016.

In terms of additional certifications, Brian obtained the MongoDB Advanced Deployments and MongoDB for DBAS certifications from MongoDB in August 2016.
