Erwan Cariou

Erwan Cariou began their career in 2000 as Sales Director and Board Member at ELefa, a "central kitchen" delivering high end sous-vide food preparation to F&B outlet. During their tenure, Erwan and their team grew the business by 39% in 4 years. In 2004, Erwan identified the market opportunity of a premium frozen fruits and vegetable range addressing F&B needs in Europe and founded 3Suns Co Ltd. With limited resources, they created and delivered an entire new range in less than 6 months. In 2008, they accepted the challenge of setting up a food supply chain to deliver clients' sites at ADEN Services, a general service management company. In 2009, Erwan embarked on a new entrepreneurial endeavour in Shanghai and co-founded Cocoon Group, a multiproduct trader. Erwan designed and deployed the strategy to restructure the activities and created two independent entities. Finally, in 2017, Erwan became APAC CEO for Sphere Group, the European leader in manufacturing and distribution of FMCG household packaging under private label. As APAC CEO, they managed a team of buyers dedicated to group purchases in ASIA, oversaw the business development and marketing addressing the local market, and sought regional growth opportunities (M&A). Erwan also steered the change to consolidate group purchase and engaged their peers towards group integration.

Erwan Cariou's education history includes a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA from ESSCA Ecole de management between 1995 and 1998, a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and Affairs from HOGESCHOOL Haarlem Business School in 1997, and an Associate degree of Sales and Marketing (D.U.T) from University Institute of Technology (IUT) between 1993 and 1995.
