Senior Scientist at Sphere Fluidics

Jitender Bisht, Ph.D. has a wealth of work experience. Jitender began their career in 2013 as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR). Jitender then moved on to the University of Wyoming, where they served as a Research Assistant (PhD Project) and Research Assistant from 2013-2019. In 2015, they were a Summer Research Fellow at the Marine Biological Laboratory. In 2019, they were a Research Associate Intern at Louisiana State University. Most recently, they have been a Senior Scientist at Sphere Fluidics Limited since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Vanderbilt University from 2020-2022, where they developed a three-step purification method for recombinant protein Cdc15 in complex with Rad24 (or 14-3-3), characterized the interaction between Rad24 and Cdc15, and conducted extensive confocal microscopy image analysis. Jitender also standardized protocols for expression and purification of proteins and multi-protein complexes from E. coli, S. pombe, and Pichia Pastoris, and presented research findings at lab and departmental meetings.

Jitender Bisht, Ph.D. obtained their Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Zoology from Delhi University from 2006 to 2009. Jitender then earned their Master of Science in Genome Sciences/Genomics from Madurai Kamaraj University from 2010 to 2012. Finally, they earned their Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences from the University of Wyoming from 2013 to 2019. In addition, they have obtained a Drug Discovery Course Certificate from the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine in February 2022.
