Dr. Carsten Stöcker

Dr. Carsten Stöcker has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dr. Carsten is the CEO and Founder of Spherity, a German decentralized digital identity software provider. At Spherity, they focus on bringing secure identities to enterprises, machines, products, data, and algorithms. Dr. Carsten also develops compliance processes in regulated technical sectors, promoting cyber-security, efficiency, and data interoperability.

Dr. Stöcker is the Chairman of the Supervisory Board at IDunion SCE, a European Cooperative Society in formation. This organization aims to develop and operate a decentralized network for securing digital self-sovereign identities, complying with data protection and security regulations in Europe. The network benefits member companies, as well as third parties for their business models.

As a CISA Fellow on the World Economic Forum's Global Future Council, Dr. Stöcker contributes to shaping the future of various industries. Dr. Carsten is also the Founder of Interlinked Protocol, an open-source protocol connecting human and non-human intelligence, addressing the need for an interoperable interaction layer in our connected world.

Prior to their entrepreneurial ventures, Dr. Stöcker held senior management positions in various companies. Dr. Carsten worked as a Senior Manager at innogy SE and as part of the Innovation Programme Management at innogy Consulting GmbH, focusing on business model innovation and disruptive digital innovation.

Before these roles, Dr. Stöcker served as the Head of International Voice and Data Networks and Head of Supply & Trading Infrastructure at RWE IT GmbH. Dr. Carsten also played significant roles in Accenture, where they were responsible for IT Transformation in the Germany, Austria, and Switzerland region, working cross-industry with a focus on clients in Banking, Utilities, and Pharmaceuticals. Additionally, with RWE Supply & Trading, they served as a Programme Manager.

Dr. Carsten Stöcker has a diverse educational background. Dr. Carsten earned their Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Düsseldorf, where they attended from 1992 to 1997. Dr. Carsten then went on to pursue further studies in Physics at RWTH Aachen University, where they obtained their Doctor of Natural Sciences (Dr. rer. nat.) from 1997 to 1999. In 2013, Dr. Stöcker enrolled in the Leadership Development Programme at ESMT Berlin to expand their knowledge and skills in organizational leadership. Overall, their education history demonstrates a strong foundation in Physics, complemented by a commitment to continuous learning and leadership development.
