Peter Lawrence, M.A., SPHR, SHRM-CP, sHRBP has over 13 years of work experience in the Human Resources field. Peter began their career in 2008 as a Mental Health Technician at Red River Hospital, where they assisted with administrative duties, socialized with, assisted, and observed mentally ill patients, and led group therapies. In 2010, they worked as a Case Manager at both Helen Farabee Regional MHMR Center and Tarrant County MHMR, where they provided intake, counseling, service coordination, and developmental interaction to clients, and assisted them in gaining access to medical, social, vocational, financial, and educational services. In 2011, they worked as an HR Generalist at SIL International Administration, where they advised leadership on HR policy, practices, employee relations, and other HR issues, administered staff relations practices, and maintained records of benefits plan participation, personnel transactions, and employee statistics for government compliance. In 2012, they worked as a Human Resources Consultant at Pursuit of Excellence, Inc. In 2014, they worked as an H.R. Generalist at ECi Software Solutions. In 2015, they worked as an Employee Relations Advisor at Parkland Hospital. In 2020, they worked as a Human Resources Business Partner at Arlington ISD. Peter's current role is Director of People Operations and People Operations Success Manager at Sphero, a position they have held since 2021.
Peter Lawrence, M.A., SPHR, SHRM-CP, sHRBP has an educational background in Psychology. Peter obtained a B.S. in Psychology from Midwestern State University and a Master of Arts in Human Resources Development from Midwestern State University. Peter also has certifications from SHRM, HR Certification Institute - HRCI, and Human Capital Institute (HCI), including SHRM-CP (obtained in June 2015), Foundations of Compensation Certificate, Senior Professional in Human Resources, and Strategic HR Business Partner.
