John Moberly

John Moberly is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the space, defense, and intelligence sectors. Currently serving as Chief Growth Officer and General Manager at Ibeos since June 2024, and as Senior Vice President for Space at SpiderOak Mission Systems since August 2022, Moberly has held key leadership roles including President of LeoLabs Federal and Director of Space & Intelligence Programs at Areté Associates. Notable past positions also include Senior Director for Defense & Intelligence Systems at Hughes Network Systems and Director of SIGINT Programs at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems. Moberly began a career in the U.S. Army, contributing to space and ballistic missile defense systems before gaining significant project management experience in the DoD/Intel Community. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Aero/Astro Engineering from Stanford University, an Executive Certificate from Harvard Kennedy School, and a Master’s in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology, complementing a Bachelor’s in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
