Tahir Mustafa

Tahir Mustafa is a Senior Software Engineer at spiderSilk since January 2022, with prior experience as a Java Software Engineer at Callsign and a Principal AWS Engineer at IBEX. At IBEX, Tahir contributed to automated conversation bots for Western Union through improvement, iteration, testing, and deployment. During tenure at Careem from June 2017 to September 2020, responsibilities included backend development using Java and Spring Boot, JVM performance tuning, refactoring monolithic architectures to microservices, and implementing product features. Tahir also developed an Android Kotlin front end for captain app and managed geofence-based queue systems using Kinesis and Scala. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, earned from 2013 to 2017.
