Matthew Peters

Matthew Peters is a distinguished AI and data science professional with extensive experience in natural language processing, machine learning, and quantitative analysis. As the Co-Founder of Spiffy AI since February 2023, Matthew focuses on developing innovative Outcome-Oriented Models that enhance human capabilities. In the role of Senior Research Scientist at the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence since October 2016, Matthew leads NLP and ML research projects and mentors graduate interns, specializing in language model pretraining for diverse data applications. Previous leadership roles include Director of Data Science at Moz, where Matthew managed the Data Science team and developed machine learning ranking models, and various analytical positions within the finance sector, including work at Fannie Mae and JPMorgan Chase. Matthew holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Washington and a B.S. in Mathematics from Penn State University.
