Scott Derman

Scott Derman is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in the toy industry. Currently serving as the Senior Design Director at Spin Master since September 2024, Scott leads global product design across various categories. Prior experience includes a role as VP of Global Product Design at Jakks Pacific from April 2018 to August 2024, where Scott directed design strategy for 15 brands and managed a team of 60. Previous positions at Mattel, Inc. included Head of Boys Creative Production, where Scott oversaw production for various media formats, and other roles focusing on franchise development and design for notable brands. Additionally, Scott contributed to academia as an adjunct professor at Otis College of Art and Design, developing courses on franchise development in toy design. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Toy Design from Otis College of Art and Design.
