Tory Bowman has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Tory began their career in 2007 as an Outreach Worker at the South Riverdale Community Health Centre. In 2008, they transitioned to the role of SCI Education Coordinator at Spinal Cord Injury Ontario, where they designed an adult learning program for individuals with spinal cord injuries. Over the years, they advanced within the organization, taking on roles such as Manager of the Knowledge Enterprise program and Senior Manager of Knowledge Exchange. Tory is currently the Director of Knowledge Exchange and Managing Director of Cortree, a social venture powered by SCIO. Additionally, they have served as a Committee Member for the Post-Secondary Education Standards Development Committee at the AODA Standards Development and Review Unit, Accessibility Directorate of Ontario, starting in 2018. Tory also worked as a Sessional Instructor at Ryerson University from 2007 to 2009. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in curriculum development, coaching, eLearning business development, and social ventures.
Tory Bowman holds a Master of Arts degree in Adult Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto. They also completed a Postgrad Diploma in Professional Writing and Editing at the University of Victoria, as well as earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and History from McGill University. In addition to their formal education, Tory is currently pursuing Adler's Professional Coaching Certificate Program and a Certificate in Leadership in Organizations from Ryerson University's G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education.
