Sumit Gupta

Sumit Gupta has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sumit is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at Spine Media since December 2017. Prior to that, they founded PurpleFence in 2015, a platform that utilizes augmented reality and virtual reality technology to help users visualize and customize home decor items and furniture. At Rightster, where they served as Co-Founder and CTO from 2010 to 2015, Sumit focused on rights-managed video distribution and monetization, achieving significant success with 2 billion monthly video views across their publisher network. Before Rightster, Sumit worked at T5M from 2007 to 2011, where they held the positions of CTO and Technology Consultant, overseeing platform re-architecting, cost reduction, technology partner selection, and the establishment of development centers. From 1992 to 2010, Sumit founded and served as the CEO of Nostrum Global, a company that provided niche solutions and worked with major clients such as the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Additionally, they have held roles such as Director of Engineering at ActOnMe Inc. (later Oxylabs) from 2006 to 2008, where they developed interactive apps for social networking platforms, and CTO at Total Learning Sources from 2005 to 2006, where they focused on providing quality education through online platforms in India. Sumit's extensive experience demonstrates their expertise in technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership.

Sumit Gupta's education history begins with their attendance at Apeejay School from 1979 to 1991. During those years, they pursued the AISSCE degree with a focus on Computer Science. Following this, from 1991 to 1994, they attended Jamia Millia Islamia and obtained a Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Apart from their formal education, Sumit Gupta has also acquired additional certifications. In April 2019, they earned a certification in "APPLIED DATA SCIENCE" from Columbia Engineering. Most recently, in December 2021, they completed a certification in "Mastering design thinking" from MIT Sloan School of Management.
