Position Objectives and Responsibilities
The Project Engineer will provide support and assistance to the Project Manager and will be responsible for coordinating the activities of a project to ensure cost, schedule, and quality standards are met. This will include all routine on-site project administration, scheduling, and engineering elements. Plans, coordinates, and manages on-site construction engineering activities and schedules and communicates with the team.
Assists in the preparation of monthly pay estimates and updates the Project CPM schedule. Coordinates and updates project budgets, change orders and cost reports for project management review and approval.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Position Requirements and Qualifications
Knowledge of Civil Construction, Earthwork, Excavation, and Utilities construction. Ability to manage time effectively and provide innovation when needed. Willingness to understand corporate and industry practices and standards, processes, and activities.
BA degree in Construction Management or in Engineering
General Civil Construction experience helpful with Underground Utilities (Storm, Sanitary, Water).
Familiar with grading, clearing, excavation, drainage, stream restoration, design build, and other civil construction scopes
Prior construction/project experience and experience as a Project Coordinator in a similar role is plus.
Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem solving; ability to proactively address potential issues.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Familiar with HCSS and Sage Timberline a plus.
Strong prioritization and organizational skills; detail oriented a must.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
