Torsten Smyk

Torsten Smyk is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in management and sales within the engineering sector. Currently, Torsten serves as the Managing Director at SPINNER GmbH since July 2018 and has been the General Manager at Spinner China since February 2002. Previous roles include Sales Representative for the Far East at Battenfeld Extrusionstechnik from January 1998 to April 2002, and Senior Sales Manager at Thyssen Henschel from October 1992 to December 1997. Torsten also held the positions of Mechanical Designer and Service Technician at Thyssen Henschel earlier in a career that began with apprenticeship roles in Technical Drawing and Tool Making. Torsten holds a Diploma-Engineer degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Aachen (FH Aachen), obtained between 1988 and 1992.
