Brett Whitelaw

Brett Whitelaw is a Senior Software Engineer currently at Spire since February 2020, where responsibilities include developing software for a network of small satellites (CubeSats), ground stations, and backend systems for data management and satellite operations. Prior experience includes serving as a Senior Software Engineer at DITTO from August 2018 to May 2019, where Brett led the backend software team and played multiple roles within an Agile framework. Brett worked at Cisco from September 2009 to April 2017 in the security organization, focusing on backend security services. Early career experience includes a role as a Software/Firmware Engineer at Solidica, Inc., and an internship at Rustbelt Studios. Brett holds a BSE in Computer Engineering and a BS in Performing Arts Technology - Sound Engineering from the University of Michigan, completed in 2009.
