Martyn Lees

Martyn Lees is a Senior Antenna Engineer at Spire since September 2020, responsible for full ownership of work package delivery from concept to in-orbit performance, and has developed a standard antenna design, fabrication, and qualification process within the company. Previously, as an Antenna Engineer at Spire, Martyn designed and qualified antennas for CubeSat applications across various frequency bands and conducted trade-off studies during mission design. Prior to Spire, Martyn served as a Senior Hardware Engineer at Leonardo, focusing on RF circuit board design and system requirements, and as an Antenna Engineer, engaged in designing patch antennas and RF components using electromagnetic simulation software. Martyn began a career as a Sales Assistant at Homebase and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the University of Strathclyde, obtained in 2014.
