Edwin Lau

Edwin Lau is an experienced engineer who has held various roles in different companies and institutions. Edwin currently works as a Lead Engineer at Spirit AeroSystems since 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Assistant Professor at Chaoyang University of Technology starting from 2019. Edwin also worked as a Research Assistant at Tsinghua University from 2014 to 2018. Edwin has previous experience at HAECO as an Engineer and later in Line Maintenance and Technical Services from 2006 to 2014. Additionally, they had research assistant positions at Ryerson University in 2003 and Bombardier Aerospace in the same year.

Edwin Lau received their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Engineering from Tsinghua University, from 2014 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their M.Eng in Mechanical Engineering from Ryerson University, from 2003 to 2005. Edwin Lau also holds a B.Eng in Aerospace Engineering from Ryerson University, earned between 1999 and 2003. Additionally, they are a member of the CASI/IASC Canadian Aeronautics and Space Institute, the American Physical Society (APS Physics), and The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.
