R Matthew Joyce has diverse work experience in various industries, including engineering, aerospace, education, and politics. R Matthew started their career at Boeing Commercial Airplane Group, working as a Tooling and MR&D Design Engineer. R Matthew then worked at Kreonite Photo processing and Laboratory Systems Inc. as a Project Lead Engineer, responsible for design problem correction and development of photo processing systems. After that, they joined Cessna Aircraft Company as a Contract Engineer, focusing on interior design and implementing CATIA. R Matthew later worked at Boeing IDS-Wichita as a Senior Engineering Consultant, where they were part of the V5 Process Development Team and supported multiple programs. R Matthew then joined Spirit AeroSystems, holding various roles such as Principal Lead-Systems Integration Engineer and Principal Engineering Lead-Concessions, among others. Additionally, they served as Wichita Engineer Unit Council Rep for the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace (SPEEA) and was elected multiple times as a Derby School Board member. Currently, they are a candidate for the Kansas House of Representatives, District 81.
R Matthew Joyce obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University between the years 1985 and 1991.
