Joe Avila

Joe Avila is an experienced aerospace professional with a robust career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Manager of Systems & Avionics Engineering at Spirit Airlines since August 2019, Joe has also been the President of Aero Consulting and Engineering, Inc. since June 2005, providing comprehensive support for obtaining FAA approvals. Prior experience includes managerial roles at Kapco Global, where Joe directed operations related to PMA approvals, and as Engineering Manager at HEICO Aerospace, focusing on DER Repair and PMA substantiation packages. Joe's early career involved project engineering roles at Howmet Corp and Union Carbide, following a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Northrop University.
